HELLO, I’M NOELLE

Personal trainer. Coach. Motivator. And a woman who knows that life doesn’t always go to plan.

I’ve been helping women over 40 feel stronger, healthier and happier for more than 30 years.

I’ve worked with hundreds of women over the years – women of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities, and all with very different ideas about what they want from their bodies and their lives. Somewhere along the way, I realised something important.

It’s rarely about the exercise.

Yes, getting stronger matters.

Moving your body matters.

Eating well matters.

But knowing what to do has never really been the problem.

The difficult bit is actually doing it when you’re busy, tired, stressed, lacking motivation … or simply wondering why your body suddenly seems to have changed the rules.

That’s where I’ve always loved helping.

WHAT I BELIEVE

You don’t need to become a different person.

You don’t need to be thinner, younger, fitter or more disciplined before you’re allowed to feel good about yourself.

You need to find a way of looking after yourself that works with your life, rather than taking it over. I’m not interested in diets that leave you hungry, workouts that leave you dreading the next one, or making women feel guilty because they ate a biscuit.

Life is for living.

And looking after yourself should help you enjoy it more, not become another thing to worry about.

I believe in:

✓ Getting stronger, not smaller
✓ Consistency, not perfection
✓ Progress, not punishment
✓ Real food, not diets
✓ Movement you actually enjoy
✓ And a good sense of humour along the way

WHY WOMEN 40+?

Because I’ve spent more than three decades watching what happens as women move through midlife… including myself.  I was born in 1961.

The things that worked at 30 don’t necessarily work at 40.
And what worked at 40 may not be quite right at 50, 60 or beyond.

Bodies change.

Priorities change.

Life changes.

Children grow up. Parents need more care. Careers change. Relationships change. Menopause happens. Joints sometimes complain. Motivation comes and goes.

And suddenly, you can find yourself somewhere in the middle of all of that wondering what you can do about your health and wellbeing.

I don’t believe getting older means giving up on feeling fabulous.

Quite the opposite.

I think this can be one of the best stages of your life.

You know yourself better.
You know what matters.
And you don’t have to spend quite so much time worrying about what everyone else thinks.

My job is to help you make the most of it.

30+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Over the years I’ve watched the fitness industry reinvent itself countless times.

New diets.
New miracle exercise.
New rules about carbs.
New rules about fat.
New ways to make women feel that they’re somehow getting it all wrong.

After 30+ years, I’ve become pretty good at separating what actually works from what simply sells.

What works isn’t usually complicated:

  • Move your body.
  • Build strength.
  • Eat well most of the time.
  • Look after your mood.
  • Keep going when motivation disappears.
  • And don’t expect perfection.

Simple doesn’t always mean easy.

But simple is something you can actually build a life around.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

When Im not helping busy independent women to feel fabulous, Im probably…

    • Out walking with our beautiful but very time-consuming young rehomed Doberman, Minnie.
    • In my garden, probably digging or chopping … I’m pretty ruthless!
    • Making time for our amazing family.
    • Cooking and enjoying some very good food with my hubbie Dave, who … unbelievably … has put up with me since 1985.
    • And generally trying to remember that life is not supposed to be one long self-improvement project.

    MORE THAN FITNESS

I’m still a Personal Trainer. I still love helping mature women get stronger and fitter.

But my work has grown into something much bigger.

I’m interested in the whole woman …

    How you move.
    How you eat.
    How you feel.
    How you think.
    How you talk to yourself.
And whether you’re enjoying your life.

Whether you need just a workout, or a plan, or some real accountability …  its still the case that sometimes you just need someone to say:

“Come on. You know what to do. Let’s get on with it.”

That’s why I’ve created different ways to work with me, from the free Almost Daily Kick Up the Bum, through to workouts, ongoing support and personal coaching.

    AND FINALLY…

I don’t want to help you become the “best version of yourself.” Tbh, I’m not even sure what that even means.

I just want to help you feel more like yourself.

I want you to feel strong enough to do the things you want to do.
    Healthy enough to enjoy them.
Confident enough to stop worrying about whether you’re doing everything perfectly.

Most importantly, I want you to also be able to say to yourself:

    “Yep. I’m doing alright.”

That’s what feeling fabulous means to me.
