Walking is a fantastic way to get fitter and healthier in both body and mind. I do it every day with the dog. It’s free, accessible for most, it’s right outside the door, and needs almost no equipment.
Here are some facts and figures which I hope will motivate you next time you catch yourself making excuses not to go out for a walk (uh-oh)
Walking is ridiculously simple, and astonishingly good for you – study after study proves it.  Sneaking in a few minutes walk several times a week is amazingly good for us.  Walking to reduce your weight is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the benefits of walking. It’s so much more than the daily step count.
Find out what Caron said about it when she started her walking program which made me intake my breath very sharply.

Caron Made Me Laugh!

When I first started working with lovely Caron she had lost loads of weight … but her loss had stalled and she couldn’t get it started again.  She has since gone on to lose my entire body weight and looks truly sensational.
She firstly took on a Personal Training package with me. Caron was so well-motivated but very frustrated that diets had stopped working for her.  She was very open and keen to learn and find ways around her problems.
The very strenuous or intensive exercise was initially not a possibility as she was new to exercise, was carrying weight, and had health issues that made her a little scared to raise her pulse.  So I suggested she “move more” on a daily basis.   This meant walking around the lanes where she lives.
Caron got started, but we live in Wales and rain quickly became an issue.
But … of course … she quickly came up with her own solution…..

It’s the ONLY time I would suggest someone needs one of those!
