I fail on a daily basis. Â It starts with “I’ll do some yoga / weights / press ups blah blah blah today” Â I then open my ipad and everything changes. Â
There’s all the Stuff To Do, always.   You know this. Â
For me, the Not Doing spirals in thoughts of not-enoughness – yes, even Personal Trainers suffer with self-doubt. I’m no longer as fit flexible, or strong as I once was when I first started teaching fitness 30 years ago.  On bad days, these thoughts proliferate into “I cannot do my job today”.  So then I might tumble into stupid ideas that I need to join Hyrox, do more weights, or resume running.Â
Reality Check Time.Â
If I we get fit by doing all those things, we have to KEEP DOING those things to stay that fit. Â Its basically like the never-ending cycle of dying your hair … and many of us stopped doing that a great many years ago.Â
Never compare and despair. Work with your heart instead.Â
Add activities and healthy foods which make you feel gooooood, Â more often, to more of your days. Â
Anything else is as temporary as a set of highlights. Â
Right, I’m now off out for a walk.  TTFN.
