Classic Weight Loss Mistake
I met a woman once who regularly spent 2 hours on a Cross Trainer in the gym, several times week. Â Being nosey, I asked her why. Â
“For weight loss” she replied.Â
So does it work? I asked, half closing my eyes and hardly daring to hear the answer.
“Noope” said she, eyes rolling upwards.Â
Well, her time commitment to exercise was SO impressive (who has that … really??)Â
But not surprising to me at all that she was failing in her weight loss attempts.
Here’s how to avoid the classic mistake of focussing purely on duration
- Vary your Type of exercise, or your Focus per session. Â If all you do is walk, vary your routes massively for increased fitness.Â
- Vary your Duration. Â Short workouts vs Longer.Â
- Vary your Exercise Intensity. Sweaty for a short time. Â Guiltily easy for a longer time. If you want muscle tone, get muscles tired.Â
- Vary your Exercise Frequency. Your weekly workouts should be as varied as the food on your plate. Â
And always (always) polish your halo when you look in the mirror afterwards. Â Â
YOU are a Goddess. Â Go girl!Â
