The nights are drawing in and the air is cooler.  Children are back in school.  Autumn is approaching. And with it, a TOTALLY BRILLIANT CHANCE to get yourself fit and fabulous.

There are just 108 days left this year – wow, is that all??
Yes so now is the time to put some “ME” back in your day, and get yourself on track.

If you want to end 2022 with a wider smile and a smaller waist, you need to start today!

  1. WALK every day.  You hear me say this a lot, and that’s with good reason. Daily walking is good for your body – strengthening and toning lovely leg and bum muscles whilst giving you that rosy glow. Its also good for your brain and your mental health.
When you walk, you think. There will be lots of lovely oxygenated blood pumping around your body and into your brain, feeding you with feel-good chemicals.   Sometimes my best ideas come to me when I’m walking. And I always feel better afterwards!
  2. DITCH ALCOHOL.  You don’t need a special time to do this.  Just decide to do it now. Trust me, in 3 days you’ll feel so much better.  Better sleep. Better skin.  Better focus. Better waistline.
  3. DUMP THE SNACKS.  Try not to be a grazer, or a secret eater.  Just resolve to have 3 lovely meals a day.  Plan them ahead of time, and then you can look forwards to them with genuine appetite and anticipation.
  4. COOK SOMETHING NEW.  Look online for lovely healthy recipes – type in “plant based, healthy quick meals” or similar and you’ll come up with so many ideas.  Make a new dish every week.
  5.  CHECK THE SELL-BYS IN YOUR HEAD.  It might sound odd, but thinking about why you think what you think around around the subject of weight loss and well-being can be like having a good old sort out in the back of the kitchen cupboards. Question yourself, and ask yourself why you have certain thoughts and beliefs.Maybe you believe that weight loss should always mean “going on a diet”.
Or perhaps you believe that exercise should always be in a gym.
It could even be that you think you might never be able to lose weight.

Ask yourself where these thoughts have come from … you certainly were not born with them.

  6. STOP MAKING EXCUSES.  Whenever you find yourself finding “reasons” not to get fit and active, call yourself out.
Say it out loud – STOP MAKING EXCUSES.
    Just start.
Do something small and take those first steps towards a happier healthier you.
