Just last week I started a session for Live Workouts with Noelle on Facebook. It was a 30 min class, I always have a class plan. Within a few mins of starting, I realized I’d left this sheet of paper in the kitchen. I dodged out from behind the camera to retrieve it.
On my rush back into the room, I somehow scratched my hand with my other hand (don’t ask). It didn’t hurt. As I warmed up, blood started moving … and in my case went very quickly went all over the place. On the floor. Up my arm. On my leg. So had to dodge out again to get a plaster. Twice leaving the studio in one 30 mins. Then of course I had to fiddle about on-screen whilst trying to open the plastic plaster wrapper.
I had a 60 min feeling-fabulous class to teach. As soon as I started, the doorbell rang, and there they were. Inevitably. Mid class.
Had to call Dave in to deal with it …shouting
Dave …. DAVE … DAAAAAVE up the stairs ….. (off-camera).
He stomped down, also annoyed, and dealt with it. They started on the other side of the house. Within minutes then appeared at the window where I was teaching. (groan). Backward & forwards they went with their ladders and buckets, all on camera behind me. Dave was by this time engrossed in his own work again upstairs.
I was totally fuming with just about everybody.
Early on in the year, before I really knew how zoom worked, I’d arranged a 60min online morning class for my group. There was a quick momentary power cut – and it caused mayhem. I restarted a new zoom class when the power came on, without stopping the first one. Yeah … didn’t understand zoom very well at all at that point. So I’m teaching to an empty class, wondering where they were, not realizing they were all still in the first one.
Not only that. But the quality of the recording was desperately bad. So I had to teach it twice. 120 mins exercise. THAT was a tiring morning exercise.
AND see the workout equivalent of the Benny Hill show. 😁
