Classic Weight Loss Mistake

I met a woman once who regularly spent 2 hours on a Cross Trainer in the gym, several times week.  Being nosey, I asked her why.

“For weight loss” she replied.

So does it work? I asked, half closing my eyes and hardly daring to hear the answer.

“Noope” said she, eyes rolling upwards.

Well, her time commitment to exercise was SO impressive (who has that … really??

But not surprising to me at all that she was failing in her weight loss attempts.

Here’s how to avoid the classic mistake of focussing purely on duration

  • Vary your Type of exercise, or your Focus per session.  If all you do is walk, vary your routes massively for increased fitness.
  • Vary your Duration.  Short workouts vs Longer.
  • Vary your Exercise Intensity. Sweaty for a short time.  Guiltily easy for a longer time. If you want muscle tone, get muscles tired.
  • Vary your Exercise Frequency. Your weekly workouts should be as varied as the food on your plate.

And always (always) polish your halo when you look in the mirror afterwards.

YOU are a Goddess.   Go girl!
