This month I’ve heard so many people saying that they know they have to do something about their weight … they’ve been meaning to for ages …. but they’ll now wait until the New Year.

Is that a good idea do you think?

If you’ve been thinking the same, then please don’t!

Here are 3 reasons why you should not wait to get yourself in shape and lose weight.

1. You won’t make more of a MESS

Christmas and the festive season happen every year.  If you wait now, how will you deal with it next year, and the years after?

Start now and learn how to manage your weight anytime. Looking at weight loss in terms of lifestyle change as opposed to going on a diet will massively help through any busy and sociable period. You’ll learn how to adapt, without “messing” up the new habits you’ve put in place.
And that doesn’t mean abstaining from the traditional foods. I always say to my clients, Christmas is a time for many to celebrate.  But it really should not last more than a few days.

Start now and you’ll be equipped with the right tools for all of the Christmasses ahead of you for the rest of your life.

 2. You’ll look back and wish you HAD!

In a months time you’ll feel proud and happy about starting early, rather than feeling awful and like you’ve failed.

The amount of people who feel guilty come January 1st (or 2nd) is massive.  They are mad at themselves and say they have no will power, or they’ve gone totally overboard with eating and drinking way too much for way too long.

They say its like Christmas every day in their house, and their waistline shows it. As I mentioned before, you can still enjoy some of the traditional foods without going crazy.

Start now. Learn and implement new habits that will help you balance your meals according to your social calendar.

How would you feel if you  – for once – you started your New Year feeling proud of yourself and in control?

 3. Your FUTURE SELF will thank you.

How many times have you started a new year saying …

This year you’ll lose weight.

This year you’ll get back on track.

This year you’ll start to feel happy with how you look and feel.

How many times?

Think about it.  This time you won’t have to make those same old New Year’s Resolutions about weight loss and getting back on track. You might have done that SO many times.

No, this time you can focus all that lovely new year and “fresh start feeling” energy on something else.

You will have DONE IT.

Now you can look ahead and tick off all the fun stuff on your To Do List instead!

If you’ve been thinking of waiting – because Christmas parties, Christmas food and Christmas celebrations are just around the corner,  all I can say is …

DON’T!

Because if you do, I bet that on November 20th, 2023 you will be in the exact same situation, if not worse than today.
