How it all began…
I was born in 1961. I am a married mum of 2 grown-up daughters and I live with my husband and our dog in Shrewsbury – previously in North Wales. In my past life, I was a primary school teacher. Now I’m a very experienced Personal Trainer, Motivational Coach, and Weight Loss Expert.
It all started with an attempt to get my body back in shape after the birth of my second daughter. That was an Aerobics class in 1991. I was truly useless at it to start with, and very unfit. But I loved the buzz and the music … and soon got hooked. Then I kind of found my Calling.
I followed my new interest with training. My tentative first attempts at teaching a class proved massively popular and I loved it. And so my fitness career was born.
I’m now very proud to say I have been happily and successfully helping women to lose weight and tone up for over 25 years.
How I evolved to where I am
My fitness business began in Denbigh N Wales. Since moving to Shropshire in 2022, it has evolved. I am now one of the few female Shrewsbury Personal Trainers and loving helping mature women in Shropshire to lose weight, tone up and feel fabulous.
Since I started in 1993, I am proud to say that my personal fitness business has evolved into what it is today – an incredibly supportive and unique place, working on both physical and emotional levels to help women who really feel like they’ve “lost it” to get IT back again!!
When I’m not doing that I’m probably either out with our daughters and my husband, stroking our dog, shopping, looking at nice old buildings, eating out, having a beer, digging the garden or walking up a large hill.
People say I’m easy to talk to, have a GSOH and I’m friendly, so that’s nice. (Haha)
I’m the wrong side of menopause too, so if you’re going through all that, I understand!
And lastly, you should know I failed my Chemistry O Level, I have a degree from Bristol University, and that I was useless at sports in school. And now, apart from a stupidly healthy lifestyle and a constant smile, I’m really pretty normal.
